Voting is open for the next round of the 2027 Mobile Electronics Industry Awards. The Mobile Electronics Association announced its first-phase honorees on September 30, 2026, with voting beginning October 2, 2026. For installers and retailers, this is the point to review the field and help decide who advances.
The announcement covers the Top 50 Retailers, Top 50 Installers, Top 20 Sales Professionals, Top 10 Trusted Techs and Top 5 Rookies. These honorees are also semifinalists for the program’s annual titles. The official 2027 honoree list identifies the people, businesses and locations in each group.
What this voting round decides
The live industry ballot includes selections for the Top 12 Installers and Top 12 Retailers, plus the Top 5 Sales Professionals and Top 5 Trusted Techs. It also includes Rookie and Expeditor selections.
Several sections provide first- and second-choice fields and an optional space to explain the selection. The form warns that duplicate selections will not count. Read each category before submitting, especially when recognizing a business and an individual who works there.
Check eligibility before sharing the ballot
The ballot links to MEA’s Basic Voting Guidelines, which limit industry-award voting to industry participants. Voters must provide contact and employment information so eligibility can be checked.
That matters when a shop shares its recognition. Direct qualified industry peers to the official voting instructions rather than sending every customer to the industry ballot. Follow the organizer’s rules, use accurate information and avoid repeat submissions under different email addresses.
Make the recognition useful
For a listed shop or technician, a clear announcement should name the exact category and stage reached. A Top 50 selection is worth celebrating; describe it accurately while the annual competition continues.
Pair the announcement with something customers can understand: a recent installation, a clean fabrication detail or a short explanation of how the team solved a difficult integration problem. Give credit to the people who did the work. Readers should leave knowing more about the shop than its position on a list.
For other retailers, the honoree list can be a starting point for finding peers to learn from. Look at how shops explain their services and present completed work. Pick one useful idea to discuss at the next team meeting, then decide whether it fits your own customers and workflow.
Vote early: the published closing dates differ
As checked October 3, MEA’s announcement says voting runs through October 22 at midnight, while the awards homepage lists October 21 as the end date. The announcement does not specify a time zone. Check the organizer’s latest instructions and submit well before either date.
The homepage schedules finalist announcements for October 24 and the awards presentation for February 7, 2027, at KnowledgeFest Las Vegas.
