Morel has introduced Elate Carbon Neo and Elate Carbon Neo Pro, two new families for people building a high-performance car audio system. Announced September 29, 2026, the range updates Morel’s Elate Carbon platform with revised speaker drivers, new tweeters and brushed-aluminum detailing.
These speakers are intended for a carefully planned system. Morel offers configurations built around 6.5-inch or 9-inch woofers, with options for two-way or three-way front sound. A three-way system adds a dedicated midrange speaker to handle much of the vocal and instrument range between the woofer and tweeter.
Neo versus Neo Pro
The clearest distinction is the tweeter—the smaller speaker responsible for high notes.
Elate Carbon Neo uses Morel’s new MT-550 soft-dome tweeter. Neo Pro uses the ECN Alto tweeter, which Morel rates for higher output and equips with a rear chamber designed to reduce unwanted sound reflections behind the dome.
Both families use Morel’s carbon-fiber and Rohacell composite-cone design for their larger drivers. Morel says the updated motors and suspension are intended to improve control, efficiency and distortion performance. The new aluminum trim also makes the speakers suitable for installations where the drivers remain visible in custom door panels or pillars.
What should a buyer decide first?
Start with the kind of system you want, rather than choosing by the Pro name alone. A two-way system can use a woofer and tweeter; a three-way build adds a midrange and needs suitable mounting locations. Amplifier power, crossovers or digital signal processing, and careful tuning all affect the finished result.
Neo Pro’s tweeter may make sense in an ambitious system with the installation and tuning to use it. Neo remains a serious option for someone who wants the Elate Carbon Neo platform without making the tweeter upgrade the center of the build.
Morel has published product information, but U.S. pricing and a confirmed shipping date have not been announced. A product page appearing online is not confirmation that it is available for immediate delivery.
The takeaway: These are new tools for building a refined front soundstage. The best choice will depend on the vehicle, speaker placement and the design of the whole system.
