Audiopipe at 12 Volt Outlet: subwoofer and amplifier

Audiopipe at 12 Volt Outlet

Build the bass. Bring the detail. Choose the power.

Explore Audiopipe subwoofers, loudspeakers and car amplifiers for your next audio system. Whether you are adding low-end weight to a daily driver or planning a multi-amplifier installation, start with the job each component needs to do. The right system is a combination of compatible drivers, suitable power, the correct enclosure and careful setup.

Three parts of an Audiopipe car audio system

Audiopipe's official car audio catalog separates subwoofers, loudspeakers and amplifiers into distinct ranges, with further choices by size, series or channel count. Those categories are a useful way to organize a build. They are not a shortcut around the specifications: compare the exact model and its installation requirements before choosing.

Low-frequency foundation

Audiopipe subwoofers

A subwoofer is the dedicated bass driver in the system. Audiopipe organizes its range into several families, including TXX-BDD, TXX-BDX and TXX-BDC, alongside TS-series options. Different sizes and configurations give you ways to balance available space, enclosure design and intended output.

Compare continuous power handling, voice-coil configuration, mounting depth and enclosure recommendations together. A larger cone does not automatically make a better choice for a small cabin or a shallow mounting location. The box and amplifier need to suit the exact driver, not simply the series name.

Vocals, instruments and presence

Audiopipe loudspeakers

The loudspeaker catalog includes different driver formats, with groupings such as Bullet, Mid-Range, Sealed Back, Flat and Octagon series. These designs do different jobs. A dedicated midrange or low-mid driver should not be treated as a full-range replacement simply because its diameter matches an existing opening.

Check the specified frequency range and recommended crossover use. Then confirm whether your system also needs a tweeter or other driver to cover the remaining frequencies. Mounting depth, cutout diameter, grille clearance and the number of speakers supplied all matter when comparing listings.

Power matched to the system

Audiopipe amplifiers

Audiopipe's car amplifier catalog includes mono, four-channel, five-channel and six-channel choices. A mono amplifier can provide a dedicated bass channel; multi-channel models give you other ways to power speakers or organize a combined system. Available inputs, filters, dimensions and output ratings vary by model.

Compare rated output at the impedance you will actually connect, and distinguish per-channel ratings from a combined total. Check minimum permitted loads and bridging instructions for the exact amplifier. The model name or a prominent maximum-watt figure alone does not tell you how it will perform in your wiring arrangement.

Make the pieces work together

Installation and tuning

Good component selection needs a practical installation plan. Allow room for secure mounting and amplifier ventilation, choose suitable power and ground wiring, and follow the manufacturer's fusing and connection instructions. Protect cables where they pass through panels and keep them away from moving parts.

Set crossover points and gain for the connected equipment and source signal. Gain is an input-matching adjustment, not an extra volume control. A system that is wired correctly still needs appropriate setup to keep speakers within their intended operating range.

How to choose Audiopipe equipment for your build

Start with your vehicle and your goal

Decide what you want to improve: deeper bass, greater vocal presence, more amplifier channels or a complete rebuild. Record your vehicle, existing head unit, any factory amplifier and the equipment you plan to keep. Factory audio integration may require a compatible interface or signal conversion; an aftermarket amplifier is not automatically a plug-in replacement.

Measure before choosing the driver

Nominal speaker diameter is only one dimension. Check the mounting hole, depth behind the panel, clearance in front of the cone and space for wiring. For a subwoofer installation, measure the usable enclosure location before selecting the driver. Leave room for the enclosure walls, port if required, and secure mounting rather than planning around an empty cargo area's outer dimensions.

Use our speaker fitment guide as a starting point for vehicle checks. For a custom bass system, the Box Buddy enclosure calculator can help with planning, but the manufacturer's specifications for your exact subwoofer remain the deciding reference.

Match RMS ratings and the final impedance

Keep continuous or RMS ratings separate from peak or maximum figures. Check the amplifier's output at the final connected load, then compare that with the speaker or subwoofer's continuous rating and recommended operating conditions. For a dual-voice-coil subwoofer, the impedance of one coil is not necessarily the final impedance seen by the amplifier.

Multiple drivers and series or parallel wiring change the load. Plan the complete arrangement before ordering and follow the amplifier's permitted operating limits. Two products sharing a brand name do not automatically form a compatible electrical match.

Choose the enclosure for the specific subwoofer

A sealed enclosure and a ported enclosure are different designs, not interchangeable boxes of the same outside size. Use the recommended enclosure type and net internal volume for the exact model. A ported design also requires the appropriate port dimensions and tuning. Account for driver and port displacement when working out net volume.

Check what is included

A raw driver is not a loaded enclosure, and an amplifier listing does not necessarily include a complete wiring kit. Check whether a speaker is sold individually or as a pair, whether a grille or remote control is included, and what additional mounting or integration parts are needed. Read each product page for its current price, availability and supplied components.

Audiopipe questions, answered

Are Audiopipe loudspeakers and subwoofers interchangeable?

No. A subwoofer is intended for low-frequency reproduction, while the loudspeaker range includes drivers designed for other frequency bands and installation roles. Use the model's stated frequency range, crossover requirements and application rather than judging by appearance.

Should I choose a mono or multi-channel amplifier?

Choose according to the channels your system needs. A mono amplifier is commonly used for a dedicated subwoofer section, while a multi-channel amplifier can power multiple speaker channels or a supported combined configuration. Verify the exact model's output, filter options and permitted wiring arrangements.

Does every Audiopipe subwoofer use the same box?

No. Size, mounting depth, displacement and enclosure recommendations vary. Use the documentation for the complete model number, including any suffix identifying an impedance or configuration. An enclosure suitable for one driver is not automatically appropriate for another in the same family.

Can I compare products using maximum watts alone?

No. Compare continuous ratings under the relevant conditions, along with impedance, channel configuration and the manufacturer's instructions. Maximum or peak figures should not be substituted for RMS ratings when matching a system.

Will these products fit my vehicle without modifications?

Not necessarily. Confirm physical fit, electrical compatibility and factory-system integration before ordering. A universal car audio component can require adapters, fabrication, wiring or other installation parts.

Where can I see the current Audiopipe selection?
