Energie at 12 Volt Outlet

12V AGM batteries for your car audio build

Give your battery choice the same attention as your amplifiers and wiring. The Energie PR lineup offers sealed AGM power cells in several capacities and case sizes, so you can compare the electrical needs of your system with the space available in your installation.

Shop eight Energie models at 12 Volt Outlet, from the compact PR1600 and low-height PR1900 to the 110 Ah PR4800. Start with capacity, then check the exact dimensions, terminal arrangement and charging requirements for the model you choose.

Find your model

Compare the Energie PR range

Capacity is one part of battery selection. These models have different dimensions and terminal layouts, even when their capacities are similar. Open the product listing to check the full specifications and current availability.

A model name is not a wattage rating. Do not size an electrical system from the number in a battery's model name. Compare the product specifications, amplifier demand, charging system and intended listening conditions together. Amp-hour capacity alone does not guarantee runtime or compatibility.

Plan the installation

Check more than capacity

  • Measure the available space. Compare length, width and height, including clearance for cables, hardware and the mounting arrangement.
  • Verify polarity at the battery. Use the actual positive and negative markings and confirm that your cables will reach without being stretched or crossed.
  • Check the charging system. Confirm AGM-compatible charging and the requirements of the exact battery and vehicle before installation.
  • Match the application. Do not assume a car audio power cell can replace an engine-starting battery. Have a qualified installer confirm the correct use, wiring, fusing and secure mounting.

Sealed AGM construction

Maintenance-free does not mean setup-free

Energie PR batteries use absorbed glass mat lead-acid construction and are sold as sealed, maintenance-free car audio power cells. That removes routine electrolyte top-ups, but charging, storage and installation still matter.

For a secondary-battery system, the complete electrical layout matters as much as the battery. Choose the battery alongside the charging capacity, cable size, protective devices and installation location rather than treating any one component as a universal solution.

Common questions

Choosing an Energie battery

What is the difference between PR2800 and PR2800R?

Both are listed at 55 Ah in the same case dimensions. PR2800R is the reverse-terminal version. Check the actual polarity markings and your cable routing before choosing between them.

Is a higher model number always a higher-capacity battery?

No. For example, the PR1600 is rated at 35 Ah, while the PR1900 is rated at 29 Ah. Compare amp-hour capacity, dimensions and the full specifications instead of relying on the model number.

Can I use an Energie power cell to start my vehicle?

Do not assume engine-starting suitability. These listings are for car audio power-cell applications; the PR1600 and PR4800 are specifically listed as not intended to start a car. Confirm the exact model and application with a qualified installer before changing a vehicle's starting-battery system.
