12 Volt Outlet Announces Its Partnership with Dual

Dual 7″ Media Receiver with Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay – DCPA723W-M

Breaking News: 12 Volt Outlet is proud to announce our partnership with Dual. A receiver upgrade changes the part of an audio system you interact with every day: the screen, phone connection, music controls, and route to your next destination. Dual's current multimedia lineup gives drivers several ways to rethink that experience, from an in-dash touchscreen to a larger adjustable display.

We are excited about the choices this creates for complete dashboard projects. The right receiver starts with the features you will actually use, then works outward to the vehicle's mounting requirements and factory functions. Screen size is part of that decision, but it should never be the only part.

Three different starting points for the dashboard

The Dual DCPA723W-M brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into the selection. For drivers who regularly use compatible smartphone navigation and audio apps, wireless integration can make the daily connection more convenient. Confirm the current phone and operating-system requirements, and remember that wireless projection does not mean the phone no longer needs charging during a long trip.

The DMCPA10FL takes a larger-screen approach with a 10.1-inch adjustable touchscreen. Dual lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front and rear camera inputs, and preamp outputs for amplifier expansion. The physical display needs its own fitment check even when the receiver chassis can be accommodated by the dash opening.

For a project that includes a rear-view camera, the DCPA71-BC receiver and backup-camera package offers another direction. Dual documents a 7-inch touchscreen, an included wired backup camera, and USB-connected CarPlay and Android Auto. This is a useful example of why similar-looking multimedia receivers should be compared by their exact model features rather than by brand alone.

Mock up the screen before committing

Use the manufacturer's dimensions or sizing guide to evaluate the display in the actual vehicle. Check sightlines from the driver's seat, access to climate controls and hazard switches, and clearance around vents and the shift lever. An adjustable screen still needs a position that is practical throughout normal driving and parking.

Behind the dash, allow room for the receiver chassis, connectors, wiring, and any interface module. A dash kit determines the mounting and finish, while the electrical interface addresses a different set of needs. Choose both for the vehicle and receiver configuration rather than expecting a universal bracket or harness to solve every part of the installation.

Keep the factory features you rely on

Make a list of the existing functions that must continue working. Steering-wheel buttons, a factory amplifier, a rear camera, warning chimes, and vehicle settings may each need specific retention hardware. Compatibility with steering-wheel controls often means an additional adapter is required; it does not mean those buttons connect directly in every vehicle.

Discuss factory camera retention separately from adding a new camera. Video format, power requirements, connectors, and switching behavior need to match. A camera image is an aid, not a replacement for checking the surroundings, and the installation should preserve a clear view without interfering with lights, plates, or normal vehicle operation.

Plan the audio system beyond the screen

If external amplifiers are part of the project, compare the receiver's preamp outputs, adjustment options, and subwoofer controls. Decide which functions will be handled in the receiver and which will be handled by downstream processing. This keeps the signal path understandable and avoids stacking unnecessary adjustments in several places.

After installation, pair the phone and set common preferences while parked. Check call-microphone performance, navigation prompts, radio reception, camera activation, and the retained factory controls. Save the receiver model and installation information so future phone changes or system expansion are easier to troubleshoot.

A more connected drive starts with a complete plan

Browse the Dual collection at 12 Volt Outlet and our Dual brand page to explore the available receivers. Our partnership puts everyday usability at the center of the upgrade: choose the connection method you want, a screen that belongs in your dash, and the installation components that make the finished system work as a whole.
