12 Volt Outlet is proud to announce its partnership with Pride Audio. For customers who enjoy the details behind a system, Pride offers plenty to explore: different speaker formats, dedicated tweeters and product families that need to be compared by their intended role rather than by appearance alone.

Our Pride Audio collection gives that equipment a dedicated home at 12 Volt Outlet. The current selection puts particular attention on speakers and tweeters, with choices for customers refining a front stage or planning a more involved custom arrangement. This is an opportunity to build around a clear acoustic and electrical plan.

Start by choosing the speaker arrangement

Pride's official speaker catalog includes component sets, coaxial speakers and dedicated drivers. Easy and Harmony are among the families customers will encounter. Those names are useful navigation points, but the exact model and version determine what is included and how the product should be used.

A component set normally places the woofer and tweeter in separate locations, with the specified crossover arrangement managing their roles. A coaxial format combines drivers in one assembly. Dedicated midrange drivers and horn tweeters introduce another set of placement and filtering choices.

Choose the arrangement that fits the vehicle and the intended installation. An existing factory tweeter location can be useful, but it still needs a dimension and mounting check. A custom panel can provide more freedom while adding fabrication work and a greater need for a deliberate tuning plan.

Dome and horn tweeters are different design choices

Our selection includes the Pride Easy 25 dome tweeters, Harmony 25 dome tweeters and Hyper Tone horn tweeters. These products should be compared as different approaches to the high-frequency section of a system.

The right choice depends on the speakers they will accompany, available mounting positions and the intended crossover arrangement. A horn format should not be treated as a direct substitute for every factory dome tweeter. Check the model's dimensions and documented operating requirements before deciding where it belongs.

High-frequency drivers also need appropriate protection. A published frequency-response range is not a complete crossover prescription. Use the manufacturer's recommendations for the exact driver and the chosen passive or active setup.

Keep model generations and quantities straight

Pride uses version identifiers on parts of its range. Keep those identifiers with the product name when comparing specifications or planning replacements. A newer version may share a family name without sharing every dimension or electrical characteristic with an older one.

Also check the unit of sale. Some products are listed as pairs, while a system plan may involve a different total number of drivers. Count the speakers, tweeters, crossover components and amplifier channels before ordering rather than using a photograph to infer the contents.

If the installation includes several drivers per side, document their individual loads and the proposed wiring. That makes it easier to confirm the final impedance presented to each amplifier channel and avoid a configuration the equipment does not support.

Plan for tuning, not just mounting

The location of a speaker affects what reaches the listener. The left and right sides of a vehicle rarely provide identical distances or surroundings. Placement, level, crossover settings and timing all contribute to the way the system combines.

Decide early whether the project will use a passive set or an actively processed arrangement. An active system can provide additional adjustment, but it also requires enough amplifier channels and a setup process that protects each driver. A passive set still needs correct installation and appropriate amplification.

Treat gain as a signal-matching control and set the system within the capabilities of the components. Stronger output is most useful when the parts remain balanced and the music stays intelligible.
