12 Volt Outlet is proud to announce its partnership with VIBE Audio, bringing a British car-audio name and a vehicle-focused approach into our brand lineup. VIBE’s range gives drivers several ways to improve a system, from direct-replacement speakers to loaded subwoofer enclosures and complete packages developed with Metra.

Our VIBE Audio brand guide introduces that range and the questions worth answering before choosing an upgrade. The focus is practical: how the equipment fits the vehicle, how it connects to the original system and how the parts work together.

A British car-audio story with a broad range

VIBE Audio dates its story to 1993 and is headquartered in Sutton Coldfield, England. Speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, enclosures and installation accessories are all part of its wider offering. Familiar family names include SLICK, BLACKAIR, CVEN, OPTISOUND and POWERBOX.

For a customer, that variety creates several possible starting points. A driver who wants to improve the front speakers may need a different solution from someone building a complete truck system. A bass upgrade in a working pickup has different space requirements from one in a vehicle with an open cargo area. Choosing by the job helps turn a large range into a useful shortlist.

How VIBE Audio and Metra SoundStage fit together

The products in this introduction come from Metra’s SoundStage range. Metra collaborated with VIBE Audio on complete vehicle-specific packages that combine audio equipment with the integration and installation components needed for the stated application.

That collaboration matters because modern vehicle audio is a system. Speakers and amplifiers are only part of the work. A package can also require the right factory-system interface, harnesses, mounting brackets and tuning. Depending on the application, the complete kit combines VIBE equipment with Metra installation parts, Axxess processing or interfaces, and T-Spec cables.

The product names and specifications retain those distinctions. SoundStage describes the Metra range, and the included equipment keeps its actual brand and model identity. Customers can compare the full component list rather than having to infer what is inside a package from a single logo.

Complete packages for selected trucks, Jeeps and Broncos

The complete-kit range includes selected F-150, Bronco, Silverado, Sierra, Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT and Tacoma applications. These are application-specific systems, so factory amplification, model-year changes and cab style are central to the choice.

For example, the FD-PPKT-1 F-150 SuperCrew package combines front and rear speakers, two four-channel amplifiers, a 10-inch ported subwoofer enclosure and pre-tuned Axxess processing. The FD-PPKT-3 non-amplified Bronco package follows a different layout, using a six-channel DSP amplifier, a separate bass amplifier and a sealed 12-inch tailgate enclosure. The equipment is selected around different vehicle installations.

Read every exclusion before ordering. The JP-PPKT-1 Wrangler listing, for instance, excludes 4xe models and notes a possible amplifier-rack modification for power-seat vehicles. Those details are as important as the speaker count. Metra also specifies that its complete kits are designed to operate with their included components as a coordinated system.

Focused upgrades for speakers and bass

A full package is only one route. VIBE’s vehicle-specific speaker choices in this range cover selected BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Tesla applications. Options include coaxial and component speakers, tweeters, center-channel equipment and under-seat bass replacements.

The exact version matters. BMW under-seat replacements are offered in separate 2-ohm and 4-ohm configurations. The right choice depends on the existing system and amplifier compatibility. Sharing a mounting location does not make two electrical versions equivalent.

Loaded enclosures offer another focused approach. The BLACKAIR-equipped options place bass in locations suited to particular vehicles, including tailgate-mounted and truck-cab installations. Check the mounting location, cab configuration and included parts. A loaded subwoofer enclosure does not by itself establish that an amplifier or wiring kit is included.

A better purchase starts with a complete fit check

Before choosing equipment, collect the vehicle’s year, make, model, body style and original audio-system details. Decide whether you want to retain the factory radio and whether the project is a targeted improvement or a complete replacement of the sound system. Then compare the actual contents and requirements of the candidate products.

For power matching, use the continuous ratings under the relevant conditions. Keep peak and maximum figures separate, and compare amplifier output at the final speaker load. Leave room in the project for secure mounting, cable routing, circuit protection and setup. Vehicle-specific hardware helps with installation, but the instructions and tuning steps still need to be followed.
