Stealth Energy at 12 Volt Outlet
Give your audio system a power plan.
The amplifier and subwoofers get the spotlight. The electrical system has to do the work. Stealth Energy brings battery selection into that conversation with AGM and lithium-titanate options for car audio. When you're planning more demanding amplification, the energy source deserves attention before the last space in the trunk disappears.
American Bass identifies Stealth Energy as its car-audio battery brand. We're proud to include it at 12 Volt Outlet, with a selection spanning several AGM sizes and two LTO capacity options. Our Stealth Energy partnership announcement introduces that foundation-first approach. This guide helps you prepare the questions that lead to an appropriate battery choice.
Two battery technologies to compare
The Stealth AGM range
Our AGM listings include the Stealth 150, Stealth 200, Stealth 350, Stealth 550 and Stealth 1000. American Bass lists their capacities as 15, 20, 35, 55 and 100 amp-hours, respectively. The model number is not the amp-hour rating, so keep those two fields separate while comparing.
AGM means absorbed glass mat, a lead-acid battery design. Within this range, size, weight, terminal arrangement and capacity vary. A smaller unit may be relevant to a space-constrained layout, while a larger one changes both the storage available and the mounting plan. Establish the battery's intended role and compatibility before selecting by size alone.
Lithium titanate: a different system-design conversation
The collection also includes 13.8V 40Ah and 13.8V 80Ah lithium-titanate batteries. LTO identifies a specific lithium battery technology; it is not interchangeable with every product described simply as “lithium.” These models need to be assessed using their own charging, discharge, temperature and protection documentation.
The 80Ah label identifies a larger stated capacity than 40Ah. It does not, by itself, guarantee twice the listening time in your vehicle or establish the allowable amplifier size. Actual use depends on current demand, permitted operating conditions, starting state of charge and the complete installation.
Do not assume either LTO model is a direct replacement for your original battery, or that it can be connected directly to an existing AGM battery. Have a qualified battery-system specialist or experienced installer confirm the charging architecture, protection and compatibility of the complete arrangement.
Start with the problem you want to solve
Find out where the electrical limitation is
Dimming lights, amplifier protection events or weak performance can have different causes. A worn battery, inadequate connections, voltage loss in the wiring or insufficient charging capability can lead to similar symptoms. Adding storage without diagnosing the installation can leave the original problem in place.
Bring the amplifier models, current battery information and vehicle details to the assessment. Note when the symptom happens: during engine-running playback, while parked with the engine off, or only during demanding passages. Appropriate measurements at the relevant points in the system are more useful than guessing from the sound alone.
Separate storage from charging
A battery stores energy; the charging system replenishes it. More storage does not make an undersized charging system produce more energy. If sustained demand exceeds replenishment, the system can still run down. Include the vehicle's normal electrical loads and other accessories when discussing the audio installation.
Be specific about use. A commute, occasional parked listening and extended demonstrations create different requirements. Engine-off listening also needs a plan for preserving starting capability and respecting the battery's permitted discharge conditions. Do not choose an operating limit from a generic chart when the exact battery documentation is available.
Read the ratings in context
Amp-hours describe capacity under specified test conditions. Continuous-current ratings and short-duration burst ratings answer different questions. Compare like with like, including temperature and test duration where supplied. An amplifier's maximum-watt claim is not a complete battery-sizing method.
Ask your installer to document the charging requirements, permitted operating range and any monitoring, isolation or management equipment the selected configuration needs. Vehicle battery sensors and charging controls may also affect the plan. This is especially important when changing battery technology rather than replacing a like-for-like unit.
Plan the mounting before the battery arrives
Allow for secure retention, terminal protection, cable access, environmental exposure and service clearance. Follow the model's mounting and ventilation instructions. The installation needs appropriate cable sizing, circuit protection and safe disconnection procedures; a battery should never be treated as loose equipment that can sit unrestrained beside the amplifier.
Contact 12 Volt Outlet with your vehicle, amplifier models, existing battery type and intended use when comparing the range. A clear system description helps identify what must be verified before ordering.
Stealth Energy questions, answered
Is Stealth Energy part of American Bass?
American Bass presents Stealth Energy as its car-audio battery brand and publishes the AGM and lithium-titanate product information used in this guide.
Are all Stealth Energy batteries lithium?
No. The Stealth 150, 200, 350, 550 and 1000 listings discussed here are AGM models. The 13.8V 40Ah and 80Ah listings are lithium titanate.
Can I mix an LTO battery with the battery already in my vehicle?
Do not assume direct compatibility. Have the exact batteries, vehicle charging system and required protection or isolation reviewed before connecting different technologies.
Will a bigger battery fix dimming lights?
It may be part of an appropriate solution, but first check battery condition, charging performance and wiring voltage loss. More storage cannot repair a poor connection or eliminate every cause of voltage drop.
Does the battery's nominal voltage tell me the charger setting?
No. Nominal voltage is not a charging instruction. Use the exact model's approved charging requirements and have the system configured by someone qualified to assess compatibility.
Where can I compare the available models?
Visit the full Stealth Energy collection. Read current product details and availability, then confirm the selection against the requirements of your installation.
