Tru Spec is GP Car Audio’s enclosure and wiring range. Its prefabricated boxes include application-specific designs, with published dimensions, airspace and cutout information to help you choose. Our selection spans 6.5-, 8-, 10-, 12- and 15-inch subwoofer applications in several driver counts and layouts.
A nominal speaker size is only the first check. Compare the exact subwoofer model with the enclosure’s mounting opening, mounting depth and recommended airspace. Then measure the vehicle opening and the space where the box will sit.
Ported prefab and Elite enclosures
Ported Tru Spec models use different box sizes, tuning frequencies and layouts. Some place the subwoofer and port on the same face; others use a sub-up, port-back arrangement. Match those details to the installation rather than choosing by driver count alone.
Elite listings include specific Sundown and Kicker Solo X L7X applications. Read the exact listing for construction, baffle details and supported subwoofer models. Elite does not mean every driver of the same size will fit.

The Tru Spec single 10-inch Sealed Stack Fab enclosure offers a different starting point for a slim-subwoofer project. Its published maximum mounting depth is 5.50 inches, and its 0.55-cubic-foot internal volume is specified before subwoofer displacement.
Account for the space occupied by the chosen subwoofer when comparing its enclosure recommendations. This model is supplied raw and unfinished and lists a single-spot GP enclosure terminal among its included parts.

Our Tru Spec wire selection includes bulk red and black 1/0 AWG OFC #TeamWeldingWire. The manufacturer specifies a stranded copper conductor and an EPDM jacket. Check the selected length and product details before ordering.
Plan the complete cable route, terminations and appropriate circuit protection for your equipment. Cable gauge alone does not establish a universal amplifier wattage rating or make a complete wiring kit.

- Confirm the exact subwoofer. Check the model, cutout, mounting depth and enclosure recommendations.
- Read the volume specification. Determine whether the listed airspace is before or after displacement.
- Measure the vehicle. Check access through the opening, installed dimensions and room around the port.
- Check the supplied parts. Review the finish, terminal, wiring and hardware details on that listing.
Tru Spec questions
Is a subwoofer included with these enclosures?
No. Our Tru Spec enclosure selection is empty, bare wood. These listings are not loaded subwoofer packages.
Can I use a different subwoofer than the one named?
Only after checking the exact fit and enclosure requirements. Matching the nominal diameter does not establish the correct cutout, depth or airspace.
Do all Tru Spec boxes include terminals and wiring?
Included equipment varies. The sealed 10-inch Stack Fab listing includes a terminal; do not assume that applies to every prefab enclosure. Review the individual listing and plan any additional connection parts.
Are the red and black wires different gauges?
The two Tru Spec wire products offered here are both 1/0 AWG OFC. Select the jacket color and available length on the individual product page.
