Description
Product Overview
The Movies To Go MTGHRD1 combines a 7-inch screen and built-in DVD player in a replacement headrest. It gives the passenger behind a front seat a dedicated viewing position while keeping the display and disc mechanism together. Adjustable posts, enclosed post wiring and a tilting headrest support a fitted installation, subject to your vehicle’s seat and head-restraint requirements.
DVD and compatible USB media can cover everyday entertainment without a connected phone. HDMI provides an additional input for an appropriate external video source. This listing includes one headrest monitor system with black, shale and pewter covers, not a pair of headrests or separate color variants. The selectable 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios help you choose a presentation suited to different content.
Key Features & Benefits
- Integrated 7-inch DVD system: The screen and disc player occupy one headrest assembly rather than separate components.
- Adjustable viewing: A tilting headrest lets you adjust the screen angle for the rear-seat passenger.
- USB media and HDMI: Use compatible stored files or an external HDMI source; USB also supports power for suitable streaming sticks.
- Audio connection choices: Wireless FM modulation, dual-channel IR transmission and a wired headphone connection provide flexible listening.
- Bundled installation features: Three color covers, a remote and a 3.5 mm-to-RCA AV input adapter are included; post adjustment supports fit planning.

Why Choose This Product?
Choose the MTGHRD1 for a smaller headrest screen with familiar disc playback and the option to connect an external source. The included covers make it easier to coordinate the installation with the cabin, while the rear-facing format avoids using overhead roof space.
Installation & Compatibility Notes
Professional fit assessment is important before replacing a factory headrest. Confirm post spacing and diameter, seat construction, restraint requirements and safe wiring routes. Do not obstruct airbags or seat movement. Use the correct HDMI adapter for the source device. For mobile-device connections, follow the owner manual’s HDMI requirements; it states that MHL devices are not supported.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the MTGHRD1 a pair of headrest screens?
No. This listing is for one headrest monitor system.
Does it support MHL?
The owner manual says it does not support devices with MHL features. Plan around a verified compatible HDMI output instead.
Are black, shale and pewter separate versions?
No. All three covers are included with the system. Choose the desired cover during installation.
Can I stream directly from the monitor?
No built-in streaming apps are specified. Connect a compatible external HDMI device and supply its required power and internet access.
Can it play movies without mobile data?
Yes. Use the built-in DVD player or compatible media on a USB drive; neither source needs a mobile data connection.
Will it fit every vehicle with removable headrests?
No universal fit is guaranteed. An installer must verify the seat, post dimensions and head-restraint requirements before replacing the original headrest.
