Match the blade interface as well as the wire

Quick disconnect terminals connect wiring to a matching flat tab or receptacle. They are useful where a connection must separate without cutting out a crimped splice. This Install Bay range uses vinyl insulation, with different wire sizes and tab widths that should be checked independently.

Female receptacles and male tabs

  • Red female terminals, 22–18 AWG: RVFD110, RVFD187, RVFD205 and RVFD250 provide .110, .187, .205 and .250-inch nominal tab sizes respectively.
  • Blue female terminals, 16–14 AWG: BVFD110, BVFD187, BVFD205 and BVFD250 cover those same four nominal tab sizes.
  • Yellow female terminals, 12–10 AWG: YVFD250 uses a .250-inch interface.
  • Male terminals: BVMD250 is blue for 16–14 AWG and YVMD250 is yellow for 12–10 AWG. Both have .250-inch nominal tabs.

Every listing in this selection contains 100 individual terminals. Male and female packs are separate, so order the required side when replacing an existing connection, or both sides when assembling a new compatible pair.

Quick disconnect questions

Are .187-inch and .205-inch terminals interchangeable?

They are different nominal sizes. Measure or confirm the equipment's tab specification rather than choosing the closest-looking connector. Width alone also does not establish compatibility with every manufacturer's terminal.

Does a blue terminal always fit another blue terminal?

Blue identifies the stated 16–14 AWG wire range here. The female connectors still have four different interface sizes, so color cannot replace a dimension check.

Are these nylon or fully sealed connectors?

These listings specify vinyl insulation and do not establish a waterproof seal. Check the individual product image and specifications for coverage and fit, and follow the equipment's connection requirements.
