DC Audio's NEO 3.0 18" Subwoofer is built for SPL-focused builds, delivering championship-proven output with customizable coil and spider configurations to extract every tenth of a db. The 18" model combines a rigid AR paper cone, a 3.0" hi-temp aluminum voice coil, and a fully CNC-machined motor assembly for tight, high‑output bass.
- 18" form factor: Outside diameter 18.5", mounting depth 11", mounting hole diameter 16.75" for confident fit in large enclosures.
- High-power handling: 2200 W RMS / 4400 W peak, providing ample headroom for demanding amplifiers.
- Voice coil: 3.0" hi-temp flat-wound aluminum voice coil with eight layers for durability and linearity at high excursion.
- Cone and surround: Extremely rigid AR paper cone with multilayered polymer foam surround to maintain cone control under heavy power.
- Frame and motor: Cast aluminum black frame; FEA‑analyzed and optimized motor assembly – fully CNC machined for precise alignment and reduced distortion.
- Terminals and wiring: Chrome spring-loaded push terminals; dual extra heavy-duty interweaved tinsel lead wires for reliable high‑current connections.
- Spider and coil geometry: 8" OD semi cup progressive roll spiders to smooth excursion and improve long-term reliability.
- Displacement: 0.26 ft³, aiding accurate enclosure coupling and predictable bass output.
- Impedance options: d.7/d1/d2/d4 available for flexible amp and box matching.
- Sound-dense area and enclosure guidance: Sd 1159 cm, with a suggested sealed box of about 5.5 ft³ for the 18" variant.
