HAND BUILT IN THE USA. The DC Audio PS3 15" Subwoofer is engineered for sealed or ported boxes while maintaining strong open-air performance, giving serious car-audio enthusiasts a high-power, highly controllable bass driver for custom builds.
- Power Handling: 1250 Watts RMS / 2500 Watts Peak. This provides solid continuous output with ample headroom for dynamic bass peaks when paired with a capable amplifier.
- Voice Coil Options: Dual 1 Ω and Dual 2 Ω versions. Choose impedance to match your amp and wiring plan for optimal damping and wiring flexibility.
- Construction & Hardware: 2.5 mm aluminum shorting ring, triple stacked FEA-optimized motor, and a custom machined magnet boot. These elements work together to control inductance, improve heat handling, and maintain linear excursion under high power.
- Ventilation & Cooling: Rear gap venting and a pole vent. Effective cooling reduces thermal compression during long bass sessions and high-duty cycles.
- Rigid Cone & Surround: Extremely rigid non-pressed paper cone with a multilayered polymer foam surround. This supports accurate, low-distortion bass across excursion ranges.
- Frame & Mounting: Cast aluminum black frame with a rubber mounting gasket and chrome spring-loaded push terminals. Built for durability and reliable wiring connections in tight installations; no invert-mount requirement noted.
- Motor & Coil Assembly: FE A-analyzed and optimized motor with a fully CNC-machined assembly and a 3" high-temp voice coil on a black anodized former. This yields precise control and robust heat tolerance for demanding setups.
- Additional Build Details: Extra heavy-duty interweaved tinsel lead wire sewn to the spider and a rubber magnet cover contribute to long-term reliability in high-excursion environments.
- 15" Size-specific Dimensions: Mounting Depth 8", Mounting Hole Diameter 14", Outside Driver Diameter 15.7", VC Diameter 3.0", Displacement.18 ft. These figures help with fitting the driver into large enclosures and planning installation in vehicle side-by-sides, motorcycles, or similar platforms.
