Product Overview
The Movies To Go AVXMTGHR9HD places a 9-inch video screen and DVD player inside a replacement headrest for a dedicated rear-passenger entertainment position. Adjustable posts and a tilting headrest help the installer establish fit and a comfortable viewing angle. Shale, pewter and black covers are included together, giving you interior-matching options without buying a separate color version.
This is one headrest monitor system, not a two-screen pair. Its built-in disc player, USB media input and HDMI/MHL connection provide several source choices for the passenger behind that seat. The 800 × 480 native panel can display video from compatible connected equipment, but the HDMI connection should not be confused with a Full HD screen or built-in smart-TV service.
Key Features & Benefits
- 9-inch headrest display: A larger headrest viewing area combines with adjustable angle and selectable 16:9 or 4:3 presentation.
- Built-in DVD playback: Passengers can use compatible discs without depending on a phone or cellular reception.
- HDMI/MHL and USB: Connect supported external equipment or play compatible media from USB storage.
- Several listening options: An IR headphone transmitter, 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM modulator support different audio setups.
- Included color covers: Shale, pewter and black covers come with the system, along with a remote control.

Why Choose This Product?
The AVXMTGHR9HD suits a rear-seat installation where the screen should sit directly behind a front seat rather than above the cabin. Physical media and external-device connections let you plan around both everyday trips and longer journeys, while the bundled covers simplify the finish selection.
Installation & Compatibility Notes
Confirm post spacing, post diameter, seat structure and head-restraint compatibility before purchase. Adjustable hardware does not guarantee a safe fit in every vehicle. Professional installation is recommended, with wiring routed clear of airbags and moving seat parts. Compatible headphones are optional. Verify the exact phone, adapter or streaming device rather than assuming all HDMI or MHL accessories are interchangeable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this listing include two headrests?
No. It is one AVXMTGHR9HD headrest monitor system. A second viewing position requires another appropriately configured system.
Are headphones included?
The manufacturer identifies the IR headphones as optional. Select headphones compatible with the system’s transmitter.
Does it have a Full HD panel?
No. Its native resolution is 800 × 480, even when using a compatible HDMI source.
Can I change the headrest color?
Yes. Shale, pewter and black covers are included. Follow the manual’s cover-replacement procedure before installation.
Will any smartphone connect directly?
No. The phone must support a compatible video output and use the correct HDMI/MHL adapter or cable. The port alone does not establish phone compatibility.
Can passengers watch without internet access?
Yes. DVD playback and compatible files on USB storage do not require internet. Online streaming depends on the separate connected device.
