Why Choose This Product?
The VCM-160DMH creates a shared rear-seat viewing point with its 16-inch ceiling-mounted screen. DVD playback and additional media connections give passengers more than one way to choose entertainment, while the listed IR and FM transmitters provide audio-routing choices for a compatible vehicle system.
Installation & Compatibility Notes
Confirm roof structure, clearance, secure mounting and power wiring with the installer. IR headphone compatibility and phone mirroring depend on the connected equipment; the required MHL HDMI cable is not included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the VCM-160DMH include DVD playback?
Yes. It is an overhead DVD entertainment model, rather than a display-only monitor.
Can it play files from removable media?
Yes. USB and SD playback are listed. Confirm supported file formats and media preparation in the model instructions.
How is passenger audio handled?
It includes IR and FM transmitters. Match headphones to the IR system or plan a compatible FM listening arrangement; headphones are not assumed included.
What should be checked before ceiling installation?
Check roof support, headliner space, wiring routes, screen clearance and occupant headroom. Do not mount into an airbag path or rely on the headliner alone for support.
Does it support a phone connection?
MobileLink mirroring uses an MHL HDMI interface cable, sold separately. Check the specific phone and adapter support; HDMI does not guarantee every phone will mirror.
